Renewal Women’s Residence has very dedicated staff including a Treatment Manager, an administrator, part-time counsellors, catering staff, and support workers. Some of our staff have been employed at Renewal since it opened in 1999.
Eileen comes from a Theatre background. She was accepted into Hazelden in 2000 to train as an addiction counsellor. Eileen graduated in counselling and addiction studies in 2001, and immediately joined the counselling team at Renewal. In 2006 Eileen was appointed Treatment Manager at Renewal. She went on to study food disorders with NCFED, qualifying in 2009, and is a CBT Therapist. Eileen’s role in Renewal is to oversee all aspects of treatment. Eileen is a fully accredited member of Addiction Counselling Ireland (ACI) and NCFED.
Helen joined the staff of Renewal in 2009. She worked for seven years as an Aftercare Facilitator in Tabor Lodge. Helen also worked as weekend staff in Tabor Lodge for seven years. She did training with S.H.E.P. and the Flatstone Institute. She has a BA (Hons) in Counselling & Psychotherapy from C.I.T and a Diploma in Social Studies from U.C.C. Helen has completed training as an Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapist with the Center for Self Leadership. She is currently doing a two year Masters in Integrative Psychotherapy at Cork Institute of Technology.
Bernice O Sullivan trained with CIT and Galilee. Bernice graduated in 2006, and worked in Tabor Lodge for 3 years as an addiction counsellor. Bernice then took up a post in Renewal Treatment Centre for women in 2009 and is presently employed there as an Addiction Counsellor. Bernice is a fully accredited member of Addiction Counselling Ireland (ACI).
