Severe addiction requires serious, sustained attention. At Tabor Group, we’ve provided intensive, trauma-informed addiction treatment for over 35 years, including residential programmes, aftercare, and family support programmes.
These programmes are for people whose addiction has progressed to the point that it can no longer be managed alone or in the family. A residential treatment intervention has become necessary. Tabor Group specialise in the type of treatment intervention that addresses the addictions that have progressed to a severe form. Tabor Group will continue to provide these treatment interventions and there seems to be no end to the demand for these programmes.
For those whose addiction has not progressed to a severe level, a range of community-based, non-residential interventions are available. These include medically assisted detox, individual counselling, 12 Step Peer Support, therapeutic group work, Employee Assistance Programmes, harm reduction strategies, and support for families and friends.
Tabor Group have now designed a treatment programme to address the needs of those with less severe forms of addiction that have not yet progressed to the severe stages. With the accumulated ‘know-how’ of over 35 years specialising in addiction treatment we have designed a programme that combines the best of all the interventions listed above.
Guided by HSE National Protocols for Drug and Alcohol Services, this new programme combines initial and comprehensive assessments, care planning, detoxification, education about substance misuse, individual and group counselling, psychoeducation skill-based workshops to manage mental wellbeing, family involvement, connection with 12 Step Fellowships, and aftercare programmes.
Recovery in the Community will launch in September 2025.
Check out Tabor Group website for more details of this programme here. If you think it could be for you or a family member then call us on 021 4545894. We can discuss with you the details so you can make informed decisions before taking action.
At the end of the day, successful management of addiction is going to be down to the person themselves feeling that the time has come to manage it. That the proper supports are in place so they can give it their best shot is important too.
Addiction takes many forms. It progresses at slow or rapid paces depending on a variety of factors. If left unattended it progresses in the direction of severe forms that cause serious disruption to the lives of the people concerned and those nearby in the family.
This Recovery in the Community initiative by Tabor Group is designed as a new support for those who feel they need to give attention to this important area of their life. We are very well placed to provide the needed support and look forward to a successful collaboration with you and your family.
